RAISEAqua Foundation (the Mediterranean and Atlantic Foundation for Research, Advancement, Innovation, Sensitization and Education in Aquaculture, Aquaponics and Sustainable Development) is a Moroccan foundation dedicated to advancing sustainable aquaculture and aquatic food systems through research, innovation, education, capacity building and strategic partnerships.Founded in Morocco, RAISEAqua serves as a platform connecting researchers, universities, students, aquaculture professionals, public institutions, industry, development partners and local communities to promote knowledge exchange and develop practical solutions for a more sustainable and resilient aquaculture sector.Our work focuses on sustainable aquaculture, aquaponics, integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA), low-trophic species, aquatic food systems, circular approaches, innovation and capacity building, with particular attention to the Mediterranean, Atlantic and African contexts.RAISEAqua believes that the future of aquaculture depends on collaboration across disciplines and borders. By bringing science, education, innovation and society closer together, we aim to contribute to responsible aquatic food production, environmental sustainability, economic opportunities and the development of the next generation of aquaculture leaders.
